|

|
| 2) How are the projections compiled? |
|
Along with priding ourselves on the number of projections we offer, FBR is also one of few to offer hand-compiled projections. Each of the
700+ players projected every year by FBR is closely analyzed, looking at a wide
range of variables including recent and career trends, age, playing elements (ie- home stadium, surrounding lineup), historical comparisons along with many other factors. Only after this process do we reach an agreeable
projection amongst ourselves for the coming season.

| 2008 Member Questions |
| 1) How do I customize my
password? |
|
You choose your own username and password when
you sign up, however if you would like to change your access info, there is a
link near
the top on the left side of the members homepage that says "Change Your
Password".
Click that link and enter the same e-mail address you used to sign-up through
Paypal (you must use the same one). Follow the instructions and enter whatever
new combination you like. You can also update your e-mail address at any
time from the member's homepage as well.
|
| 2) How often are your
projections and cheatsheets updated? |
|
We offer dynamically updating projections and
cheatsheets. What this means is that we update our numbers whenever news happens.
In addition, throughout March, we will keep you informed with daily player
updates of whose fantasy value is on the rise or on the fall. You can rest
assured knowing you are armed with the latest info and projections when it comes
time for your draft.
|
| 3) My member name and
password do not work. HELP!! |
|
The username and password combination you
chose when you joined should work. As soon as Paypal completes your payment
(including E-Checks), this combination is automatically activated. If you are having problems
entering our members area, the most common mistake is that your CAPS LOCK button
is on. Your username and password are Case-Sensitive. Also, double check that
you don't have any extra spaces in there as well, as this can cause your access
info not to work. Basically, as long as you enter your username and password
exactly, you should get in. However, as no system is infallible, just send
us an e-mail if you are still having problems.
|
| 4) How can I
correlate FFR's projections to find value specific to my league's rules and
scoring? |
|
FBR's projections can be
customized to nearly every scoring option used in leagues via our Customizable
Cheat Sheets. With our Cheatsheets, you can select only the categories your
league uses as well as the value allotted to each category. For example, if your
league gives 4 points for a HR and 1 points for a walk, the Cheatsheet rankings
can be altered to reflect these criteria, making them 100% pertinent to your
league for optimum success!

| General Fantasy Baseball Questions |
| 1) What are the different styles of scoring used in fantasy baseball? |
|
There are three primary scoring styles used in fantasy baseball: rotisserie, head-to-head and points.
|
| 2) What is Rotisserie? |
|
The original scoring method used in fantasy baseball, rotisserie scoring applies a value to a team's rank within a category. For example, if your team leads your league in homeruns and there are 12 teams overall, you would receive 12 points in that category. If your teams has the fewest homeruns, you would receive 1 point
in that category and so on. Standings are based on an accumulation of points covering all eligible
categories. A typical 5x5 roto league would include the following categories: Hitters-
Avg, Runs, HRs, RBIs, and SBs, Pitchers- Wins, Saves, Strikeouts,
ERA, and WHIP.
|
| 3) What is a Points League? |
|
A points based scoring league is a type of
fantasy baseball league in which actual stats are not used but rather a value given to the stats. For example, your league may give 4 points for a homerun, 1 point for a stolen base and 10 points for a win. Standings are based
simply on an accumulation of points covering all eligible categories.
|
| 4) What is Head-to-Head? |
|
Head-to-head is a method of play in which teams compete against each other on a weekly basis.
These leagues may use either a points based scoring or roto. In a points based
H2H, each week's winner is determined solely by who accumulates the most fantasy
points duuring the week. In a roto H2H, at the end of the playing week, each of
the relevant categories is awarded to one of the teams with ties recorded as ties. For example, if your team wins HR, R, RBI, W, K and ERA and loses AVG,
WHIP and SB while tying in SVs, your record is 6-3-1 for the week. Standings are based on an accumulation of the weekly records.
|
| 5) What does 5x5 and 4x4 mean? |
|
Both refer to common category bases used in fantasy baseball. 4x4, the less popular of the two, consists of 4 hitting (BA, HR, RBI, SB) and 4 pitching (W, ERA,
WHIP, S) categories while 5x5 includes runs and strikeouts, respectively.
|
| 6) What is a free agent? |
|
A free agent is a player not on a team who is not currently on waivers that can be immediately added to any active roster.
|
| 7) Who is on waivers? |
|
Any player who has been recently released goes on 'waivers' for a pre-determined period, usually
2 or 3 days, during which time teams have the right to 'claim' the player. The waived player will be awarded to the team with the highest waiver priority at the conclusion of the waiver period. Once a team uses a waiver move, it moves to the back of the waiver priority list, a cycle that continues throughout the season. If a player comes off waivers without being claimed, he becomes a free agent.
